Since the company’s inception in 1987, S.B. Group has become a large, diversified, and reliable company through the hardworking efforts of its Founder Hafizur Rahman Babu. In its first phase, the company’s business was limited to commercial activities: imports, wholesale, construction, etc. Within a few years, it took on new challenges like evolving with new sectors and launching new ventures for consumers with the help of his two brothers and current directors of the companies, Shafiar Rahman and Rafiqul Islam. More enterprises were established down the line covering diverse activities like the production of cement, fertilizer, sugar, flour, and jute, among others. The company then ventured into real estate and broker house, Dhaka Stock exchange membership no. 148, in the early 2000s. The Group now has over 8 major concerns located in different areas of the country.
